Top 12 Things To Do in Hong Kong

I was lucky enough to call Hong Kong home for half a year and miss it so much already. It is probably the most interesting and diverse city I’ve ever visited, with stark contrasts everywhere you look...

Travel Link-Up: My 3-Month Travel Itinerary

I am so excited for 2017 for a whole host of reasons, but particularly because it will be a year filled with travel for me. As I explained in my latest “5 Things I Want to Focus on in 2017” post, my job is allowing me to take 3 months’ annual leave come March and you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be...

Ho Lee Fook: Lucky Chinese Cats

The first night that Michael & Will were in Hong Kong it seemed only right that we eat Chinese food. Having been to Ho Lee Fook before I could vouch for the restaurant’s modern take on...

Travel Link-Up: Home Is Where the Heart Is

So the theme for this month’s travel link-up is home – Have you ever visited a country or place and been so drawn to it that you’ve wanted to move there? Or if you’re an expat, when did the country you live in begin to feel like home? What makes home, home? Is it the people, sights, food?

Lisbon: Sunny Squares and Tasty Cows

Abi & I took advantage of the late May bank holiday weekend and squeezed in a fly-by trip to Lisbon to drink, eat and sight-see ourselves silly. Sunning ourselves brown had been high on the agenda too, but unfortunately the weather man had different ideas in mind and so a light ‘blush’ is all we had to show for our time in the southern European city.

Travel Link-Up: Scent-Sational Scents

I find smell to be the most fascinating of our senses, with people seemingly able to have completely different sensitivities and reactions to the same scents. Scent is also such a powerful and evocative memory trigger; I find a certain smell can transport you to a different time and place entirely. It’s hard for me to recall certain holidays and trips now without both visualising and smelling the place in mind.

Engawa: Experiencing the “Caviar of Meat” and Sushi & Sashimi of Dreams

It’s no secret I love Asian food, especially Japanese. I’m also not against indulging in a bit of opulence at times, despite a lack of ‘occasion’. So when my friends with similar such tastes suggested an evening of feasting on the world’s “caviar of meat” and the most beautifully presented delicate & delicious sashimi I’ve ever experienced, my answer was an obvious and instant yes.

Frenchie: The Famous Parisian Restaurant Comes to London

Frenchie is certainly the talk of the town, but does its reputation proceed itself?

Bocconcino: Comforting Italian Food With my ‘Internet Friends’

A short while ago the lovely folk at Bocconcino got in touch and asked if myself and a few other bloggers would like to pop in for a review. Gladly, was obviously my answer.

Marbella: Marbella Old Town & a Delicious Seafood Paella

We woke up to sunlight streaming through the windows. An experience far too rare, I eagerly jumped out of bed and ran outside to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin for the first time in what felt like decades.

Travel Link-Up: Travelling vs Holidaying

The topic for August’s travel link-up is travel contrasts – think east vs west, hot vs cold, beach vs city – so I have chosen to write about the difference between ‘travelling’ and ‘holidaying’. For most people, these two words might be synonymous but, for me, they allude to two entirely different types of trip.
