5 Things I Want to Focus on in 2017
I have no idea how it’s happened but 2016 is over, and it’s safe to say that it has been the biggest rollercoaster year of my life yet! This is definitely the most personal post I’ve shared on the blog but...

So this post is a little late to the game but better late than never. If you care to remember it was my birthday in June and I celebrated the day dining high in the sky at Duck & Waffle together with a handful of my favourite girls...
It’s hard to believe that Michael & I have spent the last 4 years together, but I guess time flies when you’re having fun. We’ve shared an abundance of incredible experiences and made so many great memories that will stay with me forever.
For one of Michael’s birthday presents I wanted to give him an experience. When I then heard of London in the Sky, and realised that it was taking place in September, it was as if the Gods of Fate had spoken to me. It was perfect.
To round up my birthday celebrations, Michael took me for dinner at Galvin la Chapelle, a Michelin-starred restaurant housed in a seriously stunning former Victorian chapel.
For the past 3 years my ‘family’ birthday night has meant drinks at Oscar Bar & Restaurant in the Charlotte Street Hotel, followed by dinner at Roka, which, if you are a regular reader, you will know is my favourite restaurant in the whole wide world, and is just a few metres walk away.
I’m more of a birthday week than a birthday kinda gal; genuinely not because it’s supposed to be about celebrating me, but because I find it a great excuse to make lots of plans filled with all of my favourite people and things.
To kick off my birthday celebrations in style, two of my best gal pals (Josie & Grace) and I went for dinner at Sushisamba, located on the 39th floor of the Heron Tower.
I was a little slow on the ‘advance booking’ of Mother’s Day celebrations this year, so despite trying to find a suitably fitting option to celebrate my favourite lady two weeks before the big day, I was coming up empty.
I absolutely cannot believe Michael and I have been together for 3 years. Both because 3 years have flown by at the speed of light, and because I cannot remember him ever not being around, pinching my cheeks, making ridiculous noises and being a general loveable nutcase.
